Manufactured in Spain, the booth and its electrical cabinet are designed for optimised operation with the MS20 Laser Welding Machine. Opening the doors stops beam emission without disconnecting the machine from the power supply and requires a manual reset before work can resume. Integration with other manufacturers’ welding machines is possible following a prior assessment.

The range offers four standard models: CSL22, CSL32, CSL33 and CSL43. Its modular structure allows customised configurations and expansion.

Technical features

The CSL range combines a modular enclosure with access monitoring, interior viewing and electrical management systems. Its base modules allow both freestanding booths and solutions tailored to the available space, including integration with existing walls once these have been validated by Nargesa’s technical team.

Modularity: a booth that grows with your business

The CSL range is built from standard panels measuring 1,170 × 2,500 mm, combined with safety door modules. This architecture allows you to choose from four standard configurations or explore a solution tailored to the process and available space.

As production needs grow, the booth can be expanded by adding new base modules, retaining the original structure. It can also be dismantled and relocated to accommodate changes in the plant layout.

Panic-exit double door and active safety

The 2,350 × 2,200 mm front double door provides easy access for people, materials, parts and tooling. Its panic-exit design allows evacuation and intervention from outside without keeping the operator locked inside the booth.

Access safety is managed by dual-channel Pizzato hinges, which continuously monitor the door position. If a door opens during welding, the interlock system acts on the laser enable function and stops beam emission.

When paired with the MS20 Laser Welding Machine, this action switches the machine to standby without cutting the main power supply. Once safe conditions have been restored, the operator must perform a manual reset before resuming work.

Certified safety window

The booth includes a 520 × 320 mm window for viewing the process from outside. Its protective glazing complies with UNE-EN 12254, with a range of 1,030–1,150 nm, classification D AB6 + IR AB7 and optical density OD > 7.

This window complements the video system and provides a direct view of the interior with the doors closed.

Interior viewing via camera and monitor

The video system comprises a Hikvision 4 MP camera, an ASUS 24-inch Full HD external monitor and a 4-channel NVR recorder. It provides a view inside the booth, helping identify potential incidents and assist the operator.

The camera features human detection, 120 dB WDR, a microphone and IP67 protection. The system uses H.265+ compression and provides live viewing from a smartphone through the Hik-Connect app.

The system is supplied ready for recording, with no storage drive installed. To enable this function, a compatible storage device must be added and its use managed in accordance with applicable data protection and video surveillance regulations.

Operating status indication and access requests

The tricolour signal beacon indicates the equipment’s operating status:

  • Green: equipment stopped.

  • Amber: equipment ready and enabled to start welding.

  • Red: welding in progress.

The external illuminated pushbutton allows entry to be requested without opening the door. Pressing it activates the beacon’s integrated sounder and notifies the operator of the request.

This system helps coordinate access and reduces unnecessary door openings during the process.

Panels with protected ventilation

The lower section of the panels incorporates two-stage indirect ventilation, with openings in the main panel and the bottom profile.

This arrangement allows airflow while preventing a direct escape path for radiation. Ventilation is built into the enclosure’s geometry, maintaining perimeter protection.

The booth is open at the top as standard. An optional protective roof with integrated LED lighting can be fitted.

Assembly with pre-assembled components

The panels are supplied labelled and numbered according to their position, facilitating an orderly assembly sequence. The structure includes factory-fitted clips for routing the corrugated wiring conduit and a manifold ready for installation.

Electrical interconnections use keyed Harting connectors, with a Poka-Yoke system to prevent incorrect connections. This preparation simplifies booth assembly and integration into the facility.

Configurations adapted to existing walls

Where technical and safety conditions allow, the booth can use existing building walls to reduce the number of panels required:

  • One existing wall: U-shaped enclosure configuration.

  • Two existing walls: L-shaped enclosure configuration.

  • Three existing walls: front enclosure configuration.

Each project requires prior assessment and validation by Nargesa’s technical team, which checks that the existing walls are suitable for use as part of the laser protection system.

Protection testing and safety signage

The booth includes no-entry signs, laser warning signs, Class 4 laser warning signs and mandatory action signs.

Its design has undergone safety and laser containment tests, as well as direct beam exposure tests, to verify the enclosure’s resistance to penetration and radiation leakage.

Expandable Modularity and Custom Design

A booth tailored to your facility, ready to grow with your business.

The CSL system combines a custom design with an expandable modular structure. Using two basic modules—a modular panel and a safety door—we study your plant layout, process and available space to define the configuration that best meets your production needs.

If these needs increase, you can expand the booth by adding new modules without replacing the original structure. Its design allows it to be dismantled and relocated to accommodate changes in your factory.

MS20 Laser Welder: integration with the CSL range

Manufactured in Spain, the 2000 W MS20 combines laser welding, cutting and cleaning in a single unit. The CSL booth and its electrical control panel have been specifically designed to work with the MS20, coordinating power supply, access monitoring and beam enable control for optimized operation as an integrated system.

For equipment from other manufacturers, Nargesa assesses the integration requirements and supplies the appropriate electrical control panel, subject to prior technical validation of compatibility and safety functions.

CSL electrical cabinet: centralised facility management

The electrical cabinet integrates the booth’s safety, power and monitoring management. It is specifically designed to work with the Nargesa MS20 Laser Welding Machine.

Its main components are:

  • Main switch: switches the power supply to the booth, MS20 and auxiliary systems on or off.

  • Dedicated Nargesa connection: ready to integrate the machine with the booth.

  • Keyed connectors: simplify component interconnection during assembly.

  • Two auxiliary sockets: available in Schuko or NEMA versions.

  • Pre-installed lighting switch: ready for the addition and control of a future lighting installation.

  • NVR recorder: integrated into the monitoring system, with recording enabled by adding compatible storage, not included.

To use the booth with another manufacturer’s welding machine, Nargesa must be consulted in advance to validate the integration and select and purchase the electrical cabinet suited to the equipment’s requirements.

Uses of the machine CSL Laser Welding Safety Booth

Perimeter protection for laser welding workstations

The CSL booth defines a work area for laser welding processes, integrating perimeter protection, access monitoring and interior viewing.

Working with large parts and tooling

The front double door makes it easier to move materials, parts and tooling in and out. Four standard sizes and customised configurations allow the enclosure to be adapted to the process’s space requirements.

Facilities that need to expand their work area

Its modular construction allows the booth’s dimensions to be increased by adding new modules. It is a solution for facilities whose production needs or space layouts change over time.

Integration into existing building spaces

The CSL range can be configured to use one, two or three existing walls, provided the technical team has first validated their suitability as part of the laser protection system.

Viewing the interior from outside

The protective window, external monitor and Hik-Connect viewing capability provide a view inside the booth, helping identify incidents and assist the operator.
