In this video, we show how to punch ductile materials like copper or thin sheets without deformation. The issue with these materials is that they deform before breaking, causing marks, burrs, and loss of precision. We share a tip from our machinist: adding a 90 Shore polyurethane pad to the punch, acting as an integrated stripper and keeping the sheet controlled during cutting. The result is clean punching, no deformation, and faster cycles by eliminating the need for a machine stripper.
