In this reel, we show how we develop rollers for manufacturing base elements for Ø300 mm concrete columns, bending 3 mm galvanized sheet metal with our MC550CNC CNC pipe bender.
To achieve clean, deformation-free bending, three key factors come into play:
Bending rollers: The rollers are specifically designed and manufactured for the type of part and material thickness, ensuring proper support of the sheet and uniform pressure distribution.
Straightening roller pressure: These rollers must apply the right amount of pressure—enough to guide and stabilize the sheet during feeding, without creating unnecessary stress that could deform the material.
Correct sheet positioning: Proper material entry alignment is essential. Poor alignment can cause twisting, marks, or irregular radii during the process.
When these three elements are properly adjusted, bending occurs progressively, stably, and in a controlled manner, maintaining the geometry of the part.
