Prada Nargesa presents the new tutorial of the Horizontal Hydraulic Press Brake PP200CNC, completely manufactured and assembled in our facilities

The new Horizontal Hydraulic Press Brake PP200CNC comes equipped with a multi V bending die with four openings of 50 mm, 35 mm, 22 mm, and 16 mm, suitable for different sheet thicknesses ranging from 1 to 8 mm. It also includes an 80º punch with an external diameter of 70 mm, allowing for bending a fully closed piece with a minimum internal edge of 75 mm.

In this video, we showcase practical examples using the new PP200CNC Horizontal Folding Press and its standard accessories

We begin by bending a metal sheet into an octagon shape. We marked the eight sides and divided 360º by eight bends, resulting in a 135º angle for each fold. Fully closed fold shapes are one of the primary applications of these presses. In this case, we create a square with an internal edge of 75 mm. Such pieces, along with others we'll demonstrate later, cannot be manufactured using conventional folding presses due to collision with the machine beam, preventing a fully closed geometry.

For safety reasons, every time we change a tool or manipulate a die, we must stop the machine. Next, we perform a bend on a 10 mm thick metal plate, rotate the die, and fix it in the obtained position. We notice a mark due to the bending, but if desired, we can minimize it by replacing the die with a larger opening, making the mark practically imperceptible to the touch.

To create pieces with smaller and more closed folds, we use a 22 mm diameter punch. When tools are delicate due to their size, it is recommended to adjust the machine pressure according to the type of work to be performed. We replace the 85º die with a 35º die to further close the bending angle and also switch the punch with a 30º die, allowing us to obtain a six-pointed star shape. First, we make a series of 12 uniform bends at 105º, then we repeat the folding, closing the tips of the star at 45º. When desiring bends with a height of up to 150 mm, it's advisable to use Promecam punch holders, fixing them to the table. We can utilize any punch from the Promecam system since there are different punches and dies that can be interchanged according to the work at hand, as shown in the images.

The bending systems in the PP200CNC Horizontal Folding Press

The bending systems in the Horizontal Hydraulic Press Brake PP200CNC allow achieving closed angles in frames easily. There are die systems, such as the V-roller, that prevent any marking during bending, making them ideal for pieces without paint or post-treatments. Tubes with thick walls can be bent up to a maximum of 120º in various dimensions, always with a fixed internal bending radius. It is also possible to bend square profiles up to 30x30 mm, considering that the tube must have a thickness greater than 10% of its diameter to avoid deformations during the process.

The punching tool is placed in the press, securing the die on the table, and adjusting the travel to perforate the piece. To maintain the durability of the punches, it is important to lubricate them regularly. With this tool, rhomboid holes can be created by rotating the punch and the die. Prada Nargesa offers a catalog of punches and dies in different shapes and sizes to perform various perforations in tubes and create legs with or without holes in a single step. The robustness of the machine allows bending tubes up to 140 mm by 20 mm without issues, as well as widening or reducing them to 73 mm.

To ease extraction and improve the finishing of the pieces, it is recommended to grease the tools that experience significant friction. Additionally, there are tools that enable the creation of circular shapes with an external diameter of up to 90 mm for assembling or decorating forged bars, as well as bending handrails at different angles.

The profile straightening die is used for both straightening and bending, adjusting the machine's pressure according to the profile to achieve the desired objective without the need for limit switches. This versatility and capacity of the machine enable working with a wide range of shapes and sizes, delivering precise and high-quality results.

The Horizontal Hydraulic Press Brake PP200CNC offers a broad range of shapes to create different types of bars, clamps, lattices, and handrails. It comes equipped with interchangeable plugs and pins to prevent spheres from penetrating the work surface, along with an adjustable guide for various positions. The machine features a pressure regulator, piece counter, and safety pedal to stop the machine in case of excess pressure. Additionally, it provides tool racks, making it an extremely versatile equipment.
